Model 180B IFW - For Oil & Gas Pump Valve Applications
This model 180B, 40 ton (80K lb max., 355.8 kN max.) forge force inertia friction welder has an 8000 max. RPM rating, can weld 4.6 in2 (297 cm2) max. tubular area, or 1.75 in. (45.7 mm) solid bar based on SAE 1018 steel. This machine incorporates a post-weld mechanical chuck orientation feature to accommodate robot part load. Additionally, the machine's electrical system has been made adaptable for chiller and fire sensor systems. This welder was designed to join mud pump valve components for use in the oil and gas exploration environment.
